A new variety of tulip that was named by Peng Liyuan, the wife of President Xi Jinping, during their recent visit to the Netherlands, goes on display for the first time in Beijing on April 20, as part of the Beijing Tulip Culture Festival. Peng named the tulip "Cathay" while on a visit to the world-famous Keukenhof flower garden, and many cities have since been seeking to import the bulbs to China. [Photo by Wei Xiaohao/China Daily] |
