An official in Hunan province has been punished by the disciplinary authorities for downloading pornographic videos and pictures in his office.

Yuan Weibo, head of the water quality monitoring station in Linxiang city, was found having 33 gigabytes of "indecent videos and pictures" stored on his office computer, the city's anti-graft agency announced on Tuesday.

Yuan received a warning as punishment, Xinhua News Agency reported.

Amid the city's anti-corruption campaign, many other officials were also punished for violating Party rules, including being late for work, watching online films during working hours and using government vehicles for private purposes, the report said.
