The 9th China International Cultural Industries Fair closed its doors in Shenzhen on Monday.

A total of 157 transactions each worth more than 100 million yuan ($16 million) were made by Sunday, the third day of the fair. The trade volume of the first three days saw a growth of 15.85 percent year-on-year.

Liu Qibao, head of the publicity department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said at a news conference on Friday that China needs to boost the promotion of cultural products with Chinese features globally to strengthen its soft power.

The fair attracted overseas buyers from 93 countries and regions, and export deals made during the first three days saw an increase of 9.72 percent year-on-year.
