LANZHOU - Northwest China's Gansu Province has dubbed over 80 films in the languages of the country's ethnic minority groups through its two-year-old dubbing center.

The Gansu Provincial Ethnic Minority Language Dubbing Center, which celebrated its 2nd founding anniversary on Thursday, has rendered and dubbed more than 80 films in languages of ethnic groups including Tibetan, Mongolian and Kazakh.

Gansu Province, home to people from 54 of China's 55 minority ethnic groups, sees over 2.1 million ethnic minorities, accounting for nearly 9 percent of its total population.

"Since its foundation in 2010, the dubbing center has been committed to serving ethnic groups in their own languages," said Chai Jinming, head of the center.

"Our aim is to let more viewers from ethnic minority groups see films in their own languages," he added.

The center also launched a website dedicated to ethnic minority language film dubbing and promotion activities at the celebration ceremony.
