To propel China's industrial transformation and push the growth of the high-tech sector, the 16th International Software Expo will be held by China’s top industry regulator, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, from May 31 to June 2 in Beijing, the ministry said on May 9.

The expo will have top Chinese software makers such as Yonyou Software and Neusoft Corp to demonstrate various programs including cloud computing and mobile Internet applications.

The National Development and Reform Commission said the country’s software industry had 59.3 billion yuan turnover last year with 30 percent growth year-on-year.
