An engineer in Beijing killed his girlfriend because he believed she was not paying enough attention to him.

Liu Feiyuan, 23, came to know his girlfriend in Sept 2010 and they lived together three months later. During that time, they often quarreled.

On Feb 22, when Liu went to the school where his girlfriend was working as a teacher, they quarreled again and Liu killed her with a jackknife.

He also injured one of her colleagues, who had tried to stop the fight.

A local court heard Liu's case on Aug 9 and will later issue a judgment.
