China forbids all military personnel from socializing on the Internet, considering it a threat to the integrity of its military secrets, the PLA Daily reported.

The People's Liberation Army's Headquarters of the General Staff and the General Political Department jointly issued the decree, which bans soldiers from making friends, blogging, marriage-seeking and job-hunting on the Internet.

The paper said online socializing had a bad effect on soldiers' lives and drills, and military secrets may leak out through the Internet.
