Only five hallmark venues will be stored inside the Expo site, including the Expo Axis and the China Pavilion, according to Zhu Yonglei, deputy chief of the Expo Coordination Bureau, refuting media reports that an additional five pavilions would also be preserved.

News reports earlier had quoted Robert Goebbels, the commission general of Luxembourg, saying that Zhu's bureau had intended to keep another five pavilions, voted as the most beautiful, as permanent venues inside the Expo site and he hopes Luxembourg Pavilion would be one of them.
