26 poisoned by chemical gas leak

Jingzhou,Hubei: Twenty-six people are in hospital, including 11 children suffering liver and heart problems, after being poisoned in a chemical gas leak.
The incident happened at Sancaitang Chemical Science-Technology in Shashi district, Jingzhou city, Central China's Hubei province, local media reported.
Residents expressed concern about the company’s safety standards and what impact the leak would have on the local environment.
A source said the company sent representative Tuesday to deal with the families of those suffering.
The company claims the accident was caused by a careless worker.
Further investigations are underway.
