Expo forum on low-carbon economy held in Dongguan

An Expo forum on the theme of "Low-Carbon Economy in Future Cities" was held on September 18, 2009, in Dongguan City in South China’s Guangdong Province.
Huang Yaocheng, counselor for national participation with the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, told the forum about the latest developments of Expo 2010.
The theme reflects the province's commitment to fight global climate change and accelerate industry restructure.
Niu Wenyuan, the chief scientist of sustainable development from Chinese Academy of Science, and Daniel Dudek, the chief economist of the Environment Defense Fund, offered their solutions to create a low-carbon economy at the forum.
