One day he was blind, the next day he wasn't'

A Shanghai resident recently gave some money to a blind and physically handicapped beggar on line No 4 of the city's metro, only to realize the next day the man wasn't handicapped at all.
"I saw him begging on the train. He seemed completely blind. He was walking with the help of crutches. I felt bad for him and gave him some money," Lu said.
"But the next day, I saw the same man outside a subway station, dressed impeccably, walking with vigorous strides. Before I could stop him, he was gone," she added.
Lu's friends told her later that day that she probably met a professional beggar, most of whom only pretend to be disabled.
