NBS: China's Jan-Sept consumer goods sales rise 15.1%

China's consumer goods sales value amounted to 8.97 trillion yuan ($1.31 trillion) in the first nine months of 2009, up 15.1 percent year-on-year, chinanews.com.cn reported, citing data released today by the National Bureau of Statistics.

The growth rate in consumer goods sales in the first nine months of 2008 was 2.8 percent lower than the growth rate this year.
