China says Tengzhong hasn't submitted Hummer deal

Updated: 2009-10-15 12:01 BEIJING: China's Ministry of Commerce has not yet received an application from Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery to buy General Motors' Hummer brand, ministry spokesman Yao Jian told a regular news conference on Thursday. Tengzhong, a little-known machinery maker, said this week that it hoped to close the deal to buy the gas-guzzling Hummer marque from GM late this year or in early 2010. |
