Senior legislator under probe in NE China

BEIJING: A senior legislator in northeastern China's Liaoning Province is currently under investigation for discipline violations, according to the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s disciplinary watchdog Tuesday.

Song Yong, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial People's Congress, was suspected of "seriously violating disciplines," said an official of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
