Woman, 85, drank liquor everyday for 30 years

Updated: 2009-10-09 15:08 An 85-year-old woman in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, has been drinking 300 grams (10 ounces) liquor every day for the past 30 years. Tang Xiuying's love for liquor began more than 70 years ago when she would sneak drinks from her father at the dinner table. Despite having a mother-in-law who despised the habit and a husband who died from liver cancer when she was 44, Tang has continued drinking everyday. She says she would fall ill without the inebriant. (Modern Express) |
