Rejected man kidnaps ex-lover's baby

Updated: 2009-09-02 09:45 Police in Chongqing arrested a man who kidnapped his ex-lover's 8-month-old baby and demanded a 100,000-yuan ransom after she turned down his marriage proposal last Friday. After Yang, 23, the accused, and the woman broke up, the latter had an affair with another man, with whom she had a baby. But the man refused to marry the woman, following which Yang proposed marriage to her. The proposal was turned down. Yang went to the woman's house and kidnapped her baby and demanded a "compensation" for his broken heart. He was arrested a day later. (Chongqing Times) |
