July housing prices in China's 70 major cities rose one percent year-on-year, and 0.9 percent compared to June, the National Development and Reform Commission said on its website today.

The total area of commercial housing transactions in 30 cities dropped four percent month-on-month in July, with monthly transactions in first-tier cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen experiencing a decline that month, according to previous report.
