Photo festival starts in Yunnan

The 8th China Photography Festival&2009 Dali International Film Conference kicked off on Aug 1 in Dali Bai autonomous county, Yunnan province.

More than 7,000 photos, including Pulitzer Prize winner David Burnett Olympic Games and the works of Yan Lei, Winner of VISA International Photojournalism Festival, are on display.

During the festival, Bai ethnic group's dances and songs, listed as Chinese intangible cultural heritage, and other unique folk performances impressed visitors.

The five-day festival attracted more than 300 photographers from China, the United States, France, Germany, Belgium, South Korea, Thailand and Singapore.
