Shenzhen mayor investigated over serious discipline offences

BEIJING -- Shenzhen City Mayor Xu Zongheng is being investigated for suspected serious disciplinary offences, the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) confirmed Monday.

Xu is also a deputy secretary of the CPC Shenzhen committee.
