Excited mahjong player ends up in ICU

Updated: 2009-06-06 11:02 A 40-year-old mahjong fanatic was hospitalized after she fainted in Hankou, Hubei province, following 10 straight hours of playing on Wednesday. The woman surnamed Shen foamed at her mouth after she fell off her chair. Shen was recovering after a night in the hospital's intensive care unit. Doctors said Shen has hypertension and fell ill when she became too excited after winning a game. (Changjiang Daily) |
