Step-dad opens wallet, real dad closes heart

But her biological father has refused to donate his bone marrow to her. Quan Xinyu, a resident in Nanping district, Chongqing municipality, was diagnosed with leukemia last year and her stepfather Wang Weimin secured 100,000 yuan ($14,623) to help. However, when the girl needed marrow from her real father, he said he was worried about the operation. Doctors are trying to convince him that it's not a risky operation to donate and he could potentially save the girl's life. (Chongqing Commercial Daily) |
