Fireworks plant blast injures nine in north China

Updated: 2008-12-01 16:26 SHIJIAZHUANG -- Nine people were injured after a fireworks plant exploded on Monday in north China's Hebei Province, according to provincial work safety bureau. The explosion took place at about 11:30 a.m. in a village in Handan City. Of the nine injured, one person was seriously hurt. No body was found dead in the accident, a spokesman for the work safety bureau said. The cause of the accident is under investigation. |
