Wen talks with Brown on phone on financial crisis

Premier Wen Jiabao talked with his British counterpart Gordon Brown on the telephone on Friday about the global financial crisis.

Wen told Brown that China will continue to implement a series of measures to expand domestic demand and try to maintain stability in the economic, financial and capital markets. The stable and sound economic growth of China is a major contribution to the world, he said.

Brown said the UK values the role China has played in facilitating the reform of the global financial system and dealing with the current crisis.
