China to frame 10,000 national standards in 2008(Xinhua)
Updated: 2008-01-03 22:56 BEIJING -- China will shape up 10,000 national standards and revise more than 9,500 out-of-date standards in 2008, raising the total number to 31,000, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) said here Thursday. Li Changjiang, head of the AQSIQ, urged to set up 4,000 urgent national standards to ensure that all food and consumer goods would live up to national standards. He said 75 percent of the national standards were expected to reach international levels by the year end, but he didn't provide the previous figure. |
