Japan says no to Taiwan UN 'referendum'

BEIJING -- Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda said on Friday that Japan does not support Taiwan authorities to seek UN membership by "referendum" and the moves that may change status quo of the relations across the Taiwan Straits.
He made the remarks when held talks with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.
