Lift framework collapse kills 7 in C. China(Xinhua)Updated: 2007-06-06 13:48 ZHENGZHOU -- Seven workers were killed on the spot at a real estate development site in Nanyang, a city in central China's Henan Province, when a lift framework being dismantled collapsed suddenly on Tuesday afternoon. The accident took place at the Jinjiang International High-Rise Residential Building on Wolong Road, Nanyang City, when the seven workers were dismantling the structure, Xinhua learned on Wednesday from local sources. A special team comprising staff from different government departments of Henan Province arrived at Nanyang to make investigations into the accident, according to information from Henan Provincial Bureau of Construction.
