Drunkard's wade into sea causes frostbite(China Daily)Updated: 2007-01-11 09:38 A drunken man in Jinan, Shandong Province, suffered from a minor case of frostbite on Monday after he insisted on walking into the cold sea at midnight to collect shells. The man, surnamed Lin, had been drinking bottles of Chinese liquor with his friends at a beachside. He suddenly waded waist-deep into the water, murmuring something about collecting some shells for cooking. Lin fell into a coma before his friends pulled him out. At the hospital, Lin regained his consciousness and remains under treatment for the frostbites on his hands and face. (Bandao Metropolis News) |
