Taiwan-based actor Kai Ko skyrocketed to stardom for his debut role in the film You Are the Apple of My Eye. His acting was widely recognized and he won the Best Actor award at the 48th Golden Horse Awards and the 12th Chinese Film Media Awards. Ko appeared in a 2012 anti-drug advertisement in Taiwan where he and other celebrities declared, "I don't use drugs". However, he was arrested on Aug 14, 2014 by Beijing police for drug use, along with Jaycee Chan.
