Longtime bachelor George Clooney engaged to British lawyer: reports

A legal notice required by British law shows that the pair plans a wedding in Italy, where Clooney owns a home on Lake Como.

Clooney and Alamuddin got engaged in April, but they have not announced a date for their nuptials.

Clooney was previously married to actress Talia Balsam for four years. They divorced in 1993.

It is the first marriage for Alamuddin, a 36-year-old Beirut-born London lawyer.
