Singer Whitney Houston's divorce from Bobby Brown has been put on hold after the latter fell out with his lawyer.

Contactmusic.com reports that Brown's lawyer left after a series of spats this will delay the hearings.

The hearing is listed for Jan 4.

A court official's note said: 'The relationship (between Brown and his lawyers) has deteriorated to such the extent that effective communication is no longer feasible.'
