Singer Rihanna says her success has become monotonous and is causing her to feel lonely.

Rihanna, who attained superstar status with her hit single 'Umbrella', was quoted by ananova.com as saying: 'Oh, it's lonely. At first it didn't phase me that I wasn't with the people I love. But after a while it gets repetitive and that's when you kind of go, 'Oh, wow, I'm sitting in a hotel room once again'.'

Rihanna has also earned several Grammy nominations, including record of the year and song of the year, for 'Umbrella'.
