Tianjin announced it will adopt the national V emissions standard for gasoline vehicles in September.

The city will ban the sale, registration and transfer of light vehicles powered by gasoline that have substandard emissions.

It also announced that any sale and registration of heavy vehicles powered with diesel, including public buses, or public sanitary or post office vehicles that are under the national emissions standards will be banned at the beginning of this month.
