Locally produced in FAW-VW's new plant in Foshan, Guangdong province, the new Golf compact car hit the market officially after the first rolled out of production line in September. Compared to the previous generation, the Golf 7 has a roomier cabin, with greater shoulder room for the front and rear passengers, rear legroom and boot space. It features a number of new safety systems, including multi-collision braking system, adaptive cruise control with an emergency braking function, a lane-keeping assistant, driver fatigue detection, traffic sign recognition and an automatic parking system.
