The first SUV model made by domestic carmaker FAW Group under its own sub-brand Besturn, the X80 was launched recently and priced at between 119,800 and 181,800 yuan.
The SUV has several powertrain options. The 2.0-liter version is equipped with either a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission. The 2.3-liter version features a six-speed automatic gearbox. The model is 4,586 mm long, 1,820 mm high and 1,695 mm tall. Its wheelbase is 2,675 mm long.
Its competitors in the market include not only domestic counterparts like Great Wall Motors' Haval H6 and Guangzhou Automobile Group's Trumpchi GS5 but also foreign companies' locally made models, such as the Hyundai ix35, Kia Sportage R and Honda CR-V.
