Industrial parks in the district are platforms for hosting projects to attract business and investment. On March 12, a comprehensive pilot site for cross-border e-commerce as well as a Sino-South Korean trade cooperation zone was launched in the district. Currently, more than 100 companies are in talks to join the district, while about 30 have signed contracts.

While enhancing its hard power by attracting investment and businesses, Jinpu New District is also working on improving its soft power for a better investment environment.

The time needed to approve newly established companies has been reduced greatly, from 10 working days to only one. A small business founded by university students was the first company to enjoy this benefit.

After Li Ran, director of the strategic development department of the Alibaba Group, visited Jinpu New District with a delegation in April, he said they were impressed by the pragmatic attitude and efficient style of work, which made them confident about future cooperation between Alibaba and the Jinpu New District.
