HONG KONG -- The gold price in Hong Kong went down HK$98 to open at HK$16,370 per tael on Monday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,773.07 a troy ounce, down $10.61 at the latest exchange rate of one US dollar against HK$7.75.
