Li Xueming has resigned as vice-chairman of China Everbright International Ltd, china.com.cn reported Wendesday,citing the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited.
The resignation is "to minimise any possible adverse impact on the company of certain reports recently published by the media on his family background", according to Reuters.
