NEW YORK - US stocks jumped on Thursday as lower Italian and Spanish bond yields eased concerns over European debt problems and hopes for upbeat China GDP data for the first quarter lifted sentiment.

All three major indexes gained over 1 percent, registering the best two-day performance since December.
