Silver, tin 2012 quotas reduced

BEIJING - China has reduced the 2012 export quotas for silver, tin and minor metals, the Ministry of Commerce said on its website on Monday.

The country may export a maximum of 5,387 metric tons of silver next year, compared with 5,670 tons this year, with tin at 18,000 tons, down from 18,900 tons in 2011, according to the ministry.

The limit for tungsten is set at 15,400 tons against 15,700 tons previously, while that for antimony is 59,400 tons (60,300 tons), that for molybdenum 25,000 tons (25,500 tons) and that for indium at 231 tons (233 tons) .
