Gold price opens higher in Hong Kong -- May 11

HONG KONG -- The gold price in Hong Kong went up HK$70 to open at HK$14,070 per tael on Wednesday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,519.64 a troy ounce, up $7.17 at the latest exchange rate of $1 against HK$7.772.
