Chinese shares end lower in morning trade driven by weak financials

Chinese equities ended lower in the morning trading session Friday, as financial shares weakened, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 2.37 percent, or 74.47 points, to finish at 3,066.09.

The Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.57 percent, or 200.64 points, to 12,602.27.
