China's stocks in the Shanghai burse dropped 2.41 percent at midday Wednesday, following an overnight loss of the Wall Street.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3186.13 with a slight rebound from a 3.05 percent plunge at 10:53 am, erasing the small gains on Tuesday.

The Shenzhen Component Index retreated 1.98 percent to finish at 12,876.99.
