Chinese shares end mixed on Friday

Chinese stocks end trading on Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index on the Shanghai bourse down 0.29 percent.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3,113.93 points, down 9.10 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 12,706.01 points, up 68.07 points, or 0.54 percent.

Total turnover shrank to 277.26 billion yuan ($40.57 billion) from 285 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
