China International Capital Corp (CICC), in which Morgan Stanley holds a 34 percent stake, posted an almost threefold jump in profit in the first half as earnings from record share sales surged.

CICC had a net income of 461.4 million yuan in the six months to June 30, up from 172.8 million yuan a year earlier, according to Bloomberg.
