Shanghai Composite Index breaks 4,100-point mark

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 38 points higher from 4,110.74 this morning. After yesterday's 1.9 percent rise, the mainland stocks hiked to another high of 4,145.61 within minutes after the opening.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened from 13,683.65, more than 100 points higher than yesterday's closing.
