The Ministry of Finance is to launch a massive survey of state-owned assets held by governmental departments.

The ministry hopes the survey, due to end in July next year, will provide credible information for budgeting and detect problems with asset management methods.

It will focus on fixed assets, yields of state-owned assets and investments abroad. Business entities that employ corporate accounting systems will be excluded. The survey is to begin on Dec. 31.
