SOEs score remarkable achievements

China's State-owned enterprises have scored remarkable achievements since the
establishment of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration
Commission (SASAC) three years ago, a senior official of the commission
said in Beijing on Wednesday.
Over the past three years, the assets and sales income of the central does
increased by an average 1.1 trillion yuan, and the profits and taxes grew 100
billion yuan a year, the SASAC Director Li dongrong told a meeting.
He noted that the State-owned large enterprises have played a pivotal and
pillar role in the development of the national economy and have become
dependable force for the central government in dealing with emergent cases and
economic risks.
