The United States will place its Food and Drug Administration and Consumer Product Safety Commission inspectors directly at sites in China where goods are produced for exports to the US, according to a legislation being prepared by two US Congressmen Rick Larsen and Mark Kirk.

The Bill would also greatly increase the liability of US importers of goods that prove to be defective, Larsen said.
