Carrefour SA will name Eric Legros as its China president next year after incumbent Jean-Luc Cherreau retires, the Oriental Morning Post reported on its web site.

Legros, who was appointed as China chief executive officer in March, will maintain that position, said the newspaper, a publication affiliated with the Shanghai government.

Cherreau will become a company consultant after retiring Jan. 17, the newspaper said. Legros was previously the retailer¡¯s general manager in Argentina, the article said.
