Construction: Loan for interior decoration

Shanghai's Public Housing Fund Center said yesterday that homebuyers can now
apply for an additional mortgage loan for interior decoration.
Loans up to 1,000 yuan (US$125) a square meter are available after submitting
a contract from a decoration firm. The loans are capped at 70 percent of a
home's total decoration expense.
The combination of a mortgage for both home purchases and decorations can be
no more than 70 percent of the total sales price of the residence, the center
said.
